#Uninstall norton ghost 9 manual
Is the only way to get rid of the parasite known as Norton Internet Security manual uninstallation/removal of files/registry values?
If someone can let me know what my options are, or can tell me why the tool keeps crashing on me, it'd be greatly appreciated. I tried Symantec's removal tool - RnisUPG.exe atīut for some reason my piece of crap Windows XP Home Edition encounters a problem and prompts me to send Microsoft an error report everytime I run the tool. I cannot uninstall NIS from the Add/Remove progs. I tried using Norton's support on line in the past and was most un-impressed with them.So it looks like all the recent problems with my computer/Internet are stemming from Norton Internet Security 2003 which has corrupted itself and is refusing to leave my computer! I would be most grateful for any insight into the resolution of this problem. Now when I try to restore the data after 16 CD changes Ghost tells me the destination drive is in use(?) and aborts. I reran Seagate's disk utility and formatted the D1 drive (NTFS). I went into disk manager and found that the drive D1 G: was not found. Physical drive | cannot write 4096 sectors starting at LBA 63.Ġ0000079 the semaphore timeout period has expired 0x7C30010
After some 35 changes of CDs (I counted!) the following error message appeared:Į7C30010: Device||. I have attempted to restore the data files to the 200 gb drive. Prior to changing drives I used Norton Ghost 9.0 to make a backup image, with verification, of my data files on the 40gb D1 drive. I recently upgraded my hard drives from D0 20 gb, and D1 40 gb to D0 40 gb in two partitions OS and APPS and D1 200gb Data.
